minus thirty

as of this morning i have lost 30.3 pounds in the last two weeks.
the past week i didn't see it or feel it,
probably because my stomach was swollen from surgery,
but the swelling must be going down
because today my pre-op jeans were falling down a bit.
the biggest change is in my face.
it looks different.

i should feel triumphant, right?
but i don't.
and i hate that i don't.
i just want to eat pizza.
the emotional part of this is MUCH harder than expected.

  3. I can totally tell in the face! What's crazy is it took me a whole year to lose 30lbs. I am really proud of you for recognizing the emotional struggle. I heard one time that a lot of women who have WLS end up as alcoholics, replacing one addiction with another. Basically, they get thin, start going out and drinking. They get drunk quickly with the new stomach and they quickly begin having an issue. Now, I know you wouldn't go down that road, but it's a testament to who immense the emotional parts of this are.

Be proud of yourself! You have made an amazing choice for your future and for your family!
